Oh, school.

So today was my first day back at school.
Turns out I kindof missed UCCS, like, the view, and the coffee haha.
But, the class? not so much. And the homework? Definitly not looking forward to that.
Normally I start off really excited for my classes, but this semester might not be so lucky.
My first class is Spanish Culture, which is all fine and great, but my professor is outrageously ADD, and I don't think she has a clue what's going on most of the time, we began with a random rambling about Spanish government and then some horribly done video talking about the culture mix of the architecture or something. I should try and care and be more worldy, but sometimes I just have a hard time.
My second class today is called Gone with the Wind-The Myths of the Old South.  I just signed up for a random humanities course, and then was confused when I got to class because apparently I bought the wrong books. So expecting to start a class on Mexican immigration, I found instead a class about Scarlet O'Hara or something. I'm not sure how I feel about this.. the professor literally suggested that it would be ideal if we each watch the 4 hour long movie 3 times before the midterm.  Probably not going to happen.

Anyhow, Its wonderful to have a friend at school. I'm super grateful for all my bonding with Brittany in Costa Rica, its nice to have a truly friendly face to see. I also ran into a new friend from work who I was able to chat with in the hall.  After two years its nice to finally know a few people in the sea of strangers.

I also had a job interview today. I hate interviews. They ask stupid questions like, What goal have you accomplished recently? Or how do you feel about regulations that aren't clear? I'm much better at just showing someone that I work unreasonably hard at everything and am insanely reliable. Telling them about it hardly feels convincing. I want the job, (big bucks) but I'm not getting my hopes up.

This blog is ridiculously boring OH DEAR.

Today I missed:
The University of Costa Rica (it was weird to be back at the old school, no giant trees or parrots or people staring at me and my albinoness)

Today I read :

Some more of This Lullaby (I think Sarah Dessen is overall pretty cool and sometimes her sentences blow me away.) also sometimes her plot lines annoy me, and the characters sometimes make me crazy.. but that's maybe a good thing.

Ciao!
